Professor Leon Geter and Cindy Rubino, VP Government Relations of NY accompanied 12 students to Albany for a visit to the Capitol yesterday. The students are in our Health, Criminal Justice and Accounting programs and received a first hand experience on the inner workings of government. Only 1 of the 12 had been to Albany and they were very excited about the experience at the end of the day. Those we met with are members of the various committees that oversee the students areas of study so the conversations with quite engaging!
