February is a always an opportunity to celebrate fashion. New York City kicks off fashion week that moves to Milan, London and Paris. It’s also the beginning of Fall 2014 sales, with millions of dollars in wholesale being done at tradeshows like ENK Coterie at the Javits Center in New York City and Accessoires in Paris in the Jardin des Tuileries. And while February has proven to be just as cold as January, it is also the month when spring deliveries hit the stores. Scarves and hats are being replaced with colorful swimsuits and cover- ups, a reminder that warm weather isn’t too far off. The impending spring is also a reminder of the many won- derful fashion-related events to come, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.” The classroom truly comes alive on the streets of New York City.
