My focus this past month has been on the faculty at Berkeley College. I’ve had the pleasure of
observing many of our fashion classes across most of our campuses. It’s a reminder of the hard work
and dedication that they have for Berkeley students. Learning from these industry professionals means
that students learn practical skills in addition to what they read in a text book. Ultimately, each professor’s
mission is to provide students with the best education they can, and prepare them for a variety of careers in the
fashion industry, whether it be merchandising, buying, marketing or management. I salute each of our full-time
and adjunct faculty for being a meaningful part of the learning process.
