When I think about Berkeley, I simply smile. I feel old saying this, but you’re only as old as you make yourself feel so we’ll kick that thought to the curb and absorb all of the good that came during the time I spent at Berkeley College. With that said, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing back in September 2011 and couldn’t be happier with where my education and acquired skills have led me.
From the moment I stepped onto the Woodland Park campus, I knew I was going to have a huge group of supporters that would stick with me through thick and thin. That immediate family feel and the overall vibe of the staff, left an impeccable impression on me and made my decision that much easier.
During my time at Berkeley, I was newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and a lot of what was going to happen during my time at obtaining my degree, was going to depend a lot on my dedication and motivation to push forward. It became apparent that the staff at Berkeley College wanted you
to succeed and they would do everything in their power to make sure we were utilizing all aspects of their services.
I can happily say, I made the right decision choosing Berkeley College. I have since landed a full-time position as Head of Marketing at Lantek Corporation, an international electronic component distributor located in Sparta, NJ. I have been heading the marketing department since March of 2012 and I am thankful for all of the beneficial experiences I’ve had the opportunity to go through at Berkeley College to make me successful in the workforce today.
My advice to everyone out there today would be to keep pushing forward. Life will throw you obstacles, but through hard work and an immense amount of dedication, you can achieve great things, just like I did at Berkeley.
