I’ve been a Devils fan for as long as I can remember. I went to games when they used to play at the old Continental Airlines Arena in the Meadowlands. We also used to go to games often when they first came to Newark. Unfortunately last year, we never had a chance to go to a game, due to the fact that we were busy. However, that changed this year. Before the start of the hockey season, I saw an ad on social media for a ticket promotion called “Devils Student Rush.” I knew the Devils had college student ticket plans, so I’d figure why not sign up, and see what deals I could get.

Turns out they had a great deal on the game when the Devils played the Black Hawks, which was also Hockey Fights Cancer Night.

Hockey Fights Cancer Night means all Purple Everything

Hockey Fights Cancer Night was special not only because they honor cancer survivors and bring awareness to the disease, but it also means all purple everything! For warmups the Devils came out in their special cancer fighting uniforms, which was special to see.

Of course I had to get my own Hockey Fights Cancer Jersey

The Sponsor logos on the boards were also in purple for Hockey Fights Cancer

Even if your not too into hockey, I’d still recommend you go to the Prudential Center and cheer on Jersey’s team. There is never a dull moment at a hockey game, and once you go to one game your going to want to go again. Plus being a college student, you could get some decent prices on tickets, so sign up for the Devils Student Rush, and go see  Jersey’s team in action. You may even be able to get tickets to an awesome promotional night such as Hockey Fights Cancer night.
